Sling Wearing Safety and Tips

These are just a few common sense tips to remember
while using the sling.

  • Do not use sling in a moving vehicle. The exceptions are public vehicles such as airplanes, buses, etc. where the sling is very useful!
  • Do not use the baby sling while jogging, exercising or in any sporting activity where your baby’s safety could be compromised.
  • Do not use the baby sling while cooking, or close to an open flame, as baby’s hands are fast and curious!
  • Support baby with one arm when bending over, or better yet, bend at the knees.

* Slings can hold up to 40 lbs. (usually up to 3 years old).

*All slings are made from 100% cotton.
Wash cold/ delicate separately or hand wash.
Air dry or dry no heat.
(If drying in dryer, rings may bang around
and make a lot of noise).

*Sling wearing is a skill, like tying shoelaces
or knotting a tie. Take a little time to practice
and you will find wearing your sling becomes second nature.
If baby becomes cranky or you become frustrated,
stop, and come back to it when you are both more relaxed.
